On the final Saturday in June, the Year 13s held their Leavers Dinner to which they invited staff past and present with whom they wished to celebrate and to say their goodbyes to for the last time as a Cecil Jones year group. The whole event was planned and organised by the students themselves and the success of the event is a credit to them.
Most of the students have been at the school since Year 7 and have seen many changes during that time. One of the constants for them has been their school companions and some of the longer-serving staff; so the opportunity to share this moment of momentous personal change was one to be enjoyed. The majority of the students intend going on to university, but some are preferring the apprenticeship route or to go into employment. Whatever their choice, they have been a wonderful year group to work with, and we wish them good luck when their A Level results come through; and wish them every success and happiness in the future.
