Year 7 Assemblies

Year 7 have had a brilliant start to the year and our first assembly under the Loxford Trust took place on Friday. Bringing the whole year group together to celebrate the week’s successes, reflecting and welcoming the new week to come is a great opportunity.

Congratulations to Jack Corry and Caitlyn Ross for achieving student of the week. Our students can achieve this for a variety of reasons; consistently making progress in lessons, doing their best in every lesson, showing excellent manners alongside many other achievements.

Our subject nominations this week were awarded to Netusa Uthamyakumaran for English, Honey White in Maths and Chloe Fowke in Science. Congratulations on all your hard work.

The final achievement is the ‘golden pass’ this allows the students to jump to the front of the queue in the café at lunchtime. This week the golden passes were awarded to Aaron Shead and Chloe South; well done.

Our motto in year 7 is ‘There’s no such thing as can’t’, if we decide we cannot do something, we have limited ourselves. This week I’d like our students to strive to be better, face the challenge no matter how difficult it may seem.
