Cecil Jones Academy, part of the Loxford School Trust, is pleased to be running a series of ‘Open Events’ for prospective students wishing to join us in September 2022.
Families of students currently in Year 6 only who would like to visit our school are invited to attend our following open events:
Will run daily from Monday 27th September 2021 until Friday 8th October 2021.
There will be two tour slots available at 10.10AM or 11.30AM
Students currently in Year 6 will be able to attend with one parent/carer and receive a full tour of our school buildings. This will be a fantastic opportunity to see our staff and students in action and get a real sense of how our school works; you will get to witness our outstanding teaching and the fantastic behaviour of our students.
Your tour will be led by an experienced member of our staff and you will have a chance to ask questions throughout.
Tour numbers will be limited to 20 students per slot and spaces must be booked using the link below.
For families not able to attend one of our open mornings, there will be also be an Open Evening event on Thursday 30th September 2021 between 5pm to 7pm.
During the open evening there will be an address by the Headteacher, followed by tours of the School. Departments will run interactive activities throughout that your child will be able to enjoy.
Please note that parking is limited at the school, so if the carpark is full, then please park near Garons Sports Centre.
Booking your Open Morning:
We hope to see many of you at our Open Morning events as this will be the best opportunity to see a normal working day at our school.
In order to ensure everybody gets a chance to attend and are able to stay safe, spaces at all of our open mornings must be booked in advance.
Follow the link to select your preferred date and time. Spaces on morning tours are limited to 20 families. More spaces are available at our open evening event.
Following receipt of your request, you will receive an email to confirm the date and time you have been allocated. We are only able to accept requests from families with students in Year 6.
We are delighted that our school is fully open and running a full timetable for you to observe, whilst there are no current requirements for students and staff to wear masks in the building, we fully support your choice to wear a mask when attending your event in order to make yourself and others feel safe.
