Cecil student Emma and Southend Boys’ and Girls’ Choir stars get together for our NHS heroes

Emma Taylor is a keen member of the Southend Boys’ and Girls’ Choir. Despite the difficult circumstances, the choir meets to rehearse every Friday over Zoom.

85 past and present Southend Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs stars, including Emma and her older sister, have come together via video links to create a virtual recording in a bid to raise £1000 for the NHS Charities Together Fund.

The girls sung a recording of the track “We are one” and the outcome has been fantastic.

Emma says “I had so much fun recording it with my sister and we are going to be doing another song in the future. We have already raised £836.63 of the £1000 target. I’m really pleased”

Well done Emma for doing something so important in these uncertain times and keeping up the Cecil Spirit!
