If the school receives more applications than there are places (oversubscribed) it is the admission criteria that will decide if a place if offered to your child. Make sure you read the admission criteria for Southend-on Sea schools on the following link:

If you have received an offer of a place at Cecil Jones Academy, part of the Loxford School Trust, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you. I take great pride in the fact that you have entrusted the secondary education of your child to us here at Cecil Jones Academy.  The relationship between parents and school is vital in ensuring that your child has the opportunity to explore their talents and are given the chances to achieve their best.  Successful transition from Primary to Secondary School is crucial in ensuring that your child gets off to a flying start.

As such there are a number of important dates to note:

During the summer term, our Achievement Team Leader, SEND and Pastoral Teams visit many of our feeder primary schools to meet students who will be transferring to Cecil Jones Academy in the following September.

A parental information evening is held in early June to enable parents to ask questions and also to meet the Achievement Team Leader, Year Care Team and other staff who will support the new Year 7 students.
