Empower Her Project:
The Empower Her project involving sixteen Year 8 and 9 girls has begun with the students creating their campaigns, posters, motivation boxes and clay models. The projects each group has created will be displayed around the school to help increase awareness of mental health, raise the profile of female empowerment and promote a positive self-image.
Southend United Educated have commented on the dedication and hard work of all students involved. As the 12-week pro-gram draws to an end, the students have reflected on their time and said:
"The program has helped me make new friends in my year group."
"It has made me feel more confident in myself."
"I have learnt some empowering things that will me develop in the future."
